About the team
The Senior Manager, Host Partnerships and Business Development will define and lead a comprehensive business development strategy focused on growth and optimization of the critical supply (host) side of the Turo marketplace. They will also be responsible for execution of that strategy including identifying, evaluating, executing and managing a high-impact portfolio of strategic partnerships that drives supply-side growth and delivers a best-in-class experience for Turo hosts. This person will work closely with senior executives and cross-functional teams across Turo to drive alignment around the business development strategy and the execution of that strategy.
What you will do
  • Track, analyze, and optimize partnership performance; own reporting and business reviews with leadership, including metrics such as unit economics, growth, and financial performance.
  • Partner closely with Host Marketing, Host Success, Operations, Insurance, Product, Engineering, PR, Legal, and leadership to influence product roadmaps, support partner launches, and ensure successful ongoing partnerships.
  • Develop and manage a team of Business Development & Partnership Manager(s) while building scalable processes to support complex partnerships, integrations, and ongoing operational needs.
  • Develop the overall strategy for building and scaling a portfolio of partnerships that contributes meaningfully to Turo's overall supply growth efforts.
  • Identify, negotiate, and execute innovative partnerships with key strategic partners including structuring creative commercial frameworks and product solutions that drive measurable business impact.
  • Serve as the primary internal advocate for partners and represent Turo externally with partner leadership teams and at industry events, ensuring strong executive relationships and alignment.
Your profile
  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience in business development, partnerships and/or strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; or relevant work experience in business development or business management
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with strong executive presence.
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial, with the ability to pioneer new approaches while rigorously measuring outcomes.
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience defining, tracking, and evaluating partnership operational and financial performance.
  • Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Deep understanding and extensive experience developing partnerships with automotive OEMs, OEM captive finance companies, automotive finance entities, automotive product and service companies, fleet management companies, fleet software providers, and other important players in the mobility landscape.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, delegate effectively, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data-driven problem-solving and decision-making skills, with sound judgment under pressure.
  • Demonstrates Turo's operating principles through work product and within day to day team interactions

For this role, the target base salary range in San Francisco is $186,000 - $232,000 annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule - Turists will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
