Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Account Manager to join our Thermo Chemical Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving direct sales and business development for our strategic chemical portfolio in South Korea. You will play a key role in developing new accounts, expanding business with existing customers, and identifying opportunities from R&D through scale-up and bulk supply. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and solution-based consultation to customers to increase awareness and adoption of Thermo Chemical brands, including Alfa Aesar, Acros Organics, Fisher Chemical, and Fisher BioReagents.
  • Drive direct and bulk sales and expand market share across strategic segments, including Industry, Diagnostics, Bio/Healthcare, Research, and Academia.
  • Take direct ownership of customer engagement, opportunity development, negotiation, and sales closure to deliver revenue growth.
  • Responsible for developing new accounts to build a sustainable pipeline and support long-term growth - Proactively prospect, acquire, and develop new customers to generate incremental revenue.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the assigned product portfolio and apply consultative and solution-selling skills to understand customer needs, develop opportunities, and close sales.
  • Develop in-depth technical knowledge of key technology products and applications to identify and develop new commercial opportunities.
  • Take ownership of sales targets, pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity conversion.
  • Identify opportunities from R&D and catalog-based applications through scale-up and bulk supply, converting customer needs into sustainable commercial opportunities.
  • Analyze market and account performance and develop customer proposals, presentations, and business plans to drive account growth and increase share of wallet.
  • Prospect for new opportunities and actively managing target and key customers to build long-term relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the chemical industry, preferably in sales, business development, or other customer-facing commercial roles.
  • Proven direct sales experience with demonstrated responsibility for revenue targets and business growth is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field; or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Experience in technical or solution-based selling, with the ability to translate customer requirements into commercial opportunities.
  • Strong chemical knowledge with experience in the chemical industry and Bulk/Catalog business or projects.
  • Proficiency in understanding and analyzing technical and market information
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills (Power BI, Sales Force etc)
  • Proficient in English communication and presentation
