Job description

Eaton's AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Business Development Manager. This is a remote position with domestic and internal travel required 25% of the time.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
The Business Development Manager f work in the dynamic and high-stakes setting of technologically advanced aerospace solutions. The successful candidate will be equally at home with complex marketing formulas, public and customer relations, team building, strategic planning, and product development.
• Manage the business development, marketing, and product support responsibilities for assigned business & products to capture new business opportunities.
• Assist with research, analyze and recommend investment strategies for assigned business & products and effectively communicate requirements to senior management.
• Assist with long-range strategic planning for assigned product lines including the impact on related department personnel and resources.
• Assist in managing program aspects with Engineering, Operations Contracts and Finance during the initial stages of opportunity analysis, financial assessment, through negotiation and capture.
• Participate in new product development, product design reviews, transition of new product into production, and implementation of new products with customers.
• Develop program reports that include booking/order forecasts, billing/revenue schedules, and market pricing strategies.
• Conduct customer visits and product-marketing presentations.
• Participate in trade shows and technical symposiums.
• Perform public relations and marketing responsibilities for a diverse customer base.
• Build and maintain customer relations and analyze customers' fiscal budget cycle/process.
• Participate in a team-building environment by communicating and gaining support from employees within the assigned business area for divisional strategies and visions.
• Normally require minimal supervision on day-to-day work activities.
• Use judgment and critical thinking skills for complex business strategies and financial analyses.
• Contribute to internal business strategy development including market analysis, product and technology roadmaps, and other marketing tasks
• Act as a Capture team manager or be part of a Capture team
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor degree from an accredited institution
• 5 years experience in one of more of the following areas: Technical and Business Development, Operations or Product Management in the Aerospace industry, Military Business, and Commercial Aerospace environments.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering, Science, Marketing or Business.
• Experience building and maintaining customer and industry relationships
• Strong knowledge of customer and end-user operational needs and buying influences
• Ability to present high-visibility material to both internal and external senior management
• Demonstrated strong commercial acumen in relevant business contracting environment
• International business capture experience
• Demonstrated experience leading negotiations
• Proposal writing skills and link to external experience or training in Business Win methodologies
Position Criteria
• Domestic and international travel required 25% of the time.
