Job description

Strong Direct is the direct mail and data-driven marketing division of Strong Automotive. The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities and developing long-term client relationships across a wide range of industries. This role focuses on identifying prospective clients, understanding their marketing and communication needs, and presenting customized direct mail, print, and marketing solutions that drive measurable business results.

This position is not limited to the automotive industry and offers the opportunity to develop business relationships with organizations across virtually any industry, including retail, healthcare, home services, financial services, education, nonprofit, political, and other commercial sectors.

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional who is comfortable prospecting, building relationships, and managing the sales process from initial outreach through closing. Ideal candidates will already have existing business relationships, industry contacts, and prospect networks that can help generate sales opportunities quickly after joining the organization. This individual should be capable of working independently while collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful client partnerships and campaign execution.

  • 3+ years of business development, sales, or client relationship experience preferred
  • Existing professional network, industry contacts, and lead sources preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business opportunities and close sales
  • Experience in marketing, advertising, print, direct mail, media, or related B2B services preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and follow-through abilities
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and developing new business opportunities
  • Ability to identify client needs and recommend solution-oriented strategies
  • Strong time management and pipeline management skills
