Account Manager - Remote based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
ADM Ag Services & Oilseeds 
This is a full time, exempt position.
This is a remote position based out of the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. This role has territory on the north side of Cedar Rapids, Iowa towards Manchester, Iowa.
Position Summary
As an Account Manager, you will help ADM grain origination develop long-term producer relationships to secure supply chains critical to sustainably feed the world's growing population. In addition, you will be responsible for farm direct grain origination to ADM assets, strategy, and growth of your territory. The Account Manager will have account ownership of up to 500 core customers and prospects in a specified geographic territory. Sales and origination efforts for their territory will be done both outside and inside of the office.
What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for growing and maintaining relationships with transactional and traditional producer accounts
  • Earn the right to buy grain from producers in your territory. Volume expectation of 5-12M bushels
  • Develop a working knowledge of the customer's operation as it relates to grain marketing and logistics. This may include how local markets might provide selling opportunities, and how tailored risk management solutions might meet specific marketing goals for the producer
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within ADM's portfolio to benefit the producer
  • Execute and support regional Regen Ag programs which may include data management and technology adoption
  • Develop market opinion to help inform producer of market opportunities
  • Network to attain positive, collaborative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions including climate smart and fertilizer teams
  • Engage with accounting and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate accounting and contract management
  • Communicate effectively competitive advantages and vulnerabilities to further the development and success of ADM to key internal stakeholders
  • Learn and support local and regional business objectives
  • Operate as a Peer Leader to reach overall regional producer origination objectives
Who We're Looking For:
Preferred 
  • 1 to 10 years' experience
  • Ability to evaluate and manage risk with producer accounts
  • Understand how to lead and conduct professional sales/origination calls with customers and prospects
  • Self-starter who will communicate opportunities for the business to improve internally and externally
  • Collaborative mentality that provides insight and supports strategic goals
  • Commitment to territory planning and efficient execution
  • Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills and a solution focused mindset are necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Dedication to utilize technology applications that are critical to sales and origination activities
  • Early adopter of new technology/programs and ability to lead and influence other target users
  • Basic understanding of grain markets, grain contracting alternatives, production agriculture and the application of those to the producer 
  • Eager to learn
Minimum 
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in business or agriculture
  • Ability to function effectively, both independently and with a team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate within various levels of an organization
  • Expert organizational and time-management skills 
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook and Teams
