We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven KOL/Strategic relationships Senior Manager for Life Science research (-Omics) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, taking competitor share, building/maintaining key client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic planning and execution. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams and functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

    • Identify and pursue potential clients through networking, cold calling, and other outreach methods.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients as defined.

    • Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and company growth.

    • Collaborate with marketing, business unit colleagues, and other internal teams to align strategies and drive business objectives.

    • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients.

  • Sales and Revenue Growth:

    • Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive business development efforts.

    • Negotiate contracts and close deals to drive bookings and revenue growth.

    • Monitor and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Partnerships and Alliances:

    • Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances to expand business opportunities.

    • Manage and nurture relationships with key partners to maximize mutual benefits.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of business development activities, client interactions, and sales progress.

    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management.

    • Commercial subject matter expert on the -Omics vertical with ownership on key internal business review and strategic discussions


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree, with 15+ years of relevant commercial experience in life sciences, healthcare, or related industries. Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field

  • Additional relevant professional certifications valued

  • Demonstrated success managing strategic customer relationships and achieving revenue growth

  • Experience working effectively in multi-team organizations

  • Advanced negotiation and contract management skills for complex, high-value agreements

  • Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities

  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build and maintain executive-level customer relationships

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and resources

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite

  • Strategic thinking and planning capabilities with focus on results

  • Possesses expertise on customer markets requirements, laboratory processes and methods in the Research and Discovery market

  • Excellent relationship building skills and persuasion with the ability to motivate and influence others

  • Travel requirement for this role is ≥60% 

  • Comprehensive understanding of customer needs, market dynamics and competitive landscape

  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic account plans

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $143,900.00–$215,900.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
