Human Resources Intern

HR Focus area: Training and Development

Location: Mukwonago, WI onsite work

Position Reports to: Director, HR Business Partner, Closures

Hours: 40 per week

Duration: 4-6 months


Looking for a Training and Development professional who is ready to take the next step in their career.

The Training and Organizational Development Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and delivery of training solutions for the Aptar Mukwonago location. This role ensures that training programs align with overall business and site goals and reflect the strategic business plan.

The Specialist will collaborate with Business Leaders and HR across the organization to understand business objectives and develop strategies for effective talent development of current employees, as well as to build a strong future talent pipeline.

This position will involve working with a team of trainers to create, integrate, and deliver technical vocational programs, training courses, and certification classes. Additional responsibilities include supporting succession planning, performance management, organization design, and ensuring the sustainability of training programs.

Furthermore, this role will partner with the Site Human Resources Business Partners and the Regional Director of Human Resources to implement these programs for Aptar Closures, NA. The position will report to the Regional Director of Human Resources.

 

As an HR Intern in Training and Development, You Will:

  • Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends and compile data based on project initiatives.
  • Data governance system updates.
  • Engages leaders from across the organization in strategic consultation to identify training and development needs.
  • Assess the skills, competencies and training needs of employees in order to develop and deliver training
  • Assists with the design of training curriculum and select appropriate learning delivery methods for employees.
  • Facilitates training when needed.
  • Implement programs and ensure training information is delivered in a variety of instructional forums including classroom settings, self-paced and distance learning.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts, consulting groups, and manages outside vendors/consultants on the delivery of key initiatives.
  • Ensure that the programs and training materials developed are instructionally sound and that the concepts and materials are consistent and interconnected across all programs.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of an evaluation system to monitor the quality of the training delivery including participant competency and follow-up audits.
  • Perform administrative duties such as organizing and streamlining.
  • Support HR initiatives, including culture and engagement activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentation.
  • All other job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Masters Student preferred in organizational design and theory
  • College Senior majoring in Psychology, Organizational Development, Business Administration or Human Resources
  • Preferred but not required:  Successfactors, Dayforce

Skills and Abilities:

  • MS office - proficient (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
