About the Role

A major Korean conglomerate's U.S. branch, based in Cerritos, CA, is hiring a Business Development Professional to grow its food retail business in the U.S. and identify new business opportunities. The company is engaged in international trading and distribution, with a strong focus on steel products and additional business areas including petrochemical, energy-related products, biofuel, and new business development. This role primarily focuses on major retail channels while also exploring new products, categories, and partnerships.



Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Develop business opportunities with major U.S. retailers, brokers, and distributors.

- Manage buyer relationships, product proposals, and commercial negotiations.

- Plan and develop food products for the U.S. market.

- Conduct market, competitor, category, and pricing analysis.

- Coordinate supply chain, import, logistics, and overseas suppliers.

- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and support project execution.


Required Qualifications

- 3-5 years of experience in business development, retail sales, overseas sales, product management, or distribution.

- Experience developing new customers, channels, products, or partnerships.

- Fluent in English, with strong analytical, negotiation, and project-management skills.


Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in food retail, CPG, or with major U.S. retail channels.

- Salary: starting from $60,000 - $75,000+, depending on experience and qualifications.
