A top producer of live multi-camera news, sports, entertainment, and corporate productions, BMG operates in New York, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Las Vegas, and is now opening its Canadian headquarters in Toronto.


POSITION OVERVIEW
BMG is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Representative to lead its expansion and growth initiatives across Canada. This individual will drive lead generation and customer acquisition, build a qualified sales pipeline across all Canadian territories, and develop long-term recurring client relationships. The ideal candidate is energetic, consultative, and proven in the broadcast and live production space.


POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: Business Development Representative – Canada
Department: Sales & Business Development
Reports To: Senior Leadership / VP of Global Partnerships
Location: Toronto, ON (Canadian HQ)
Work Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office, 5 Days per Week
Travel: Required for trade shows, conferences, and client meetings
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

  • Drive topline revenue through aggressive prospecting, lead qualification, and deal closure
  • Identify new accounts and evangelize BMG’s unique value proposition to key decision makers and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with new and prospective clients
  • Understand client needs and offer consultative solutions; respond to incoming web leads and RFPs
  • Collaborate with leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Create and deliver informative presentations at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences
  • Maintain a lead database of prospects, deals, and activities within CRM software
  • Conduct cold calling and multiple outbound calls daily to potential clients; guide clients through the full deal process
  • Meet or exceed all quotas for calls, appointments, and interviews; achieve quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Maintain a full sales pipeline using CRM tools and provide regular forecasting updates
  • Collaborate with management on sales planning, goal-setting, and short- and long-term business development strategy
  • Stay current with industry trends through active reading of broadcast trade publications
  • Maintain an active presence on LinkedIn and social media to promote BMG services and build brand awareness


Requirements:

  • Must be located in Toronto and available to work in the BMG office 5 days per week
  • 5+ years of experience with multi-camera live broadcast production and livestreaming for broadcast networks and corporations
  • 5+ years of experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • 5+ years of experience designing and building proposals and pitch decks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to connect and communicate persuasively with potential clients
  • Proven ability to interact confidently and professionally with C-Level Executives
  • 5+ years of sales or business development experience with a track record of demonstrated, measurable results
  • Strong knowledge of the full sales process, from initiation through close
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Persuasive, goal-oriented, and highly motivated with an energetic and outgoing demeanor

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
