Job description

Functional Medicine + Premium Wellness Retail | Charleston, SC

About Us

We’re building a next-generation wellness destination that blends functional medicine, advanced lab testing, IV therapy, and a premium vitamin/supplement retail experience—all under one roof.
Our mission is simple: help people take control of their health with data-driven care, high-quality supplements, and real human guidance.
We’re growing quickly and looking for someone who wants to be part of building something meaningful from the ground up.
The Role

This is not a sit-behind-a-desk job.
As a Business Development Associate, you’ll be out in the community—meeting people, building relationships, and introducing local businesses to what we do.
But just as important—you’ll help create the materials and messaging that open those doors.
You won’t just hand out flyers. You’ll help design what goes on them, how they’re positioned, and how they’re used in real conversations.
Think of this role as part relationship builder, part brand ambassador, part creative marketer.
What You’ll Actually Do:
  • Prospect and visit 40 plus local businesses per week (gyms, med spas, offices, wellness centers, etc.)
  • Introduce our brand in a professional, engaging way
  • Educate business owners and staff on our services:
    • Functional medicine care
    • Advanced lab testing
    • IV therapy
    • Premium supplements
    • Peptides
  • Create and refine marketing materials, including:
    • One-pagers and leave-behinds
    • Partnership decks
    • Flyers and promotional offers
    • Simple presentations or digital materials
  • Test different messaging and offers in the field and iterate based on real feedback
  • Identify partnership opportunities (referrals, events, collaborations)
  • Track outreach and follow-ups
  • Provide insight into what messaging is working—and what isn’t
  • Help shape how we grow in the Charleston market

Who This Is Perfect For:
You’re likely a strong fit if you:
  • Are early in your career.
  • Have a college degree (business, marketing, health, or related field preferred).
  • Are comfortable both talking to people and creating content.
  • Can walk into a business and start a conversation without hesitation.
  • Have a good eye for design, messaging, and branding.
  • Want to build real-world skills in sales, marketing, and business development.
  • Have an interest in health, fitness, wellness, or functional medicine.
  • Prefer being out in the field vs. stuck at a desk.
  • Are proactive, creative, and solutions-oriented.

What You’ll Learn:
This role is designed as a launchpad. You’ll gain experience in:
  • Relationship development.
  • Real-world marketing (not just theory—what actually converts).
  • Messaging, positioning, and offer creation.
  • Healthcare + wellness industry dynamics.
  • How to build and scale a brand from the ground up.

Compensation:
  • Base hourly (competitive for entry-level).
  • Potential for Performance-based bonuses tied to outreach and partnerships.
  • Growth path into senior business development, marketing, or management roles.

Why This Role Stands Out:
  • You’re not just executing—you’re helping create the strategy and materials
  • You’ll see immediate feedback on what works in real-world settings
  • You’re not selling a commodity—you’re introducing people to better health
  • You’ll gain experience across healthcare + retail + marketing (rare combination)
  • You’ll build a strong network across Charleston’s wellness and business community

This is a Monday - Friday position. Non-smokers only. Prior experience even in an educational setting preferred.
