Role Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Business Development & Estimating Associate to support business development efforts through estimating, proposal preparation, customer engagement, marketing initiatives, and sales process coordination while developing the technical and commercial skills necessary to become a Business Development Associate. 

Key Responsibilities  

Estimating & Proposal Development 

  • Assist with preparation of estimates and budgets. 

  • Prepare proposal documents and customer-facing presentations. 

  • Coordinate technical and commercial information required for proposals. 

  • Maintain proposal templates and supporting documentation. 

  • Track proposal status and follow-up requirements. 

Business Development Support 

  • Maintain CRM records, opportunity tracking, and pipeline reports. 

  • Assist with customer outreach and follow-up communications. 

  • Schedule and coordinate customer meetings. 

  • Research target customers, projects, and industry opportunities. 

  • Support lead generation initiatives. 

Marketing & Industry Engagement 

  • Coordinate trade show and conference participation. 

  • Represent the company at industry events as assigned. 

  • Assist with marketing materials, case studies, and content development. 

  • Support digital marketing initiatives. 

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity. 

Sales Operations & Coordination 

  • Track action items and ensure timely completion. 

  • Coordinate information between sales, engineering, operations, and customers. 

  • Maintain organized records of opportunities, proposals, and customer interactions. 

  • Prepare reports and performance metrics. 

  • Assist in developing and improving sales processes. 

Qualifications 

  • Recent schooling in a  or 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales support, estimating, project coordination, marketing, customer service, or a related role. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 

  • Ability to analyze information and develop professional proposals and presentations. 

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills. 

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed. 

  • Not required, but a plus: Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. 

  • Experience preparing estimates, budgets, proposals, bids 

  • Experience in construction, industrial services, engineering, manufacturing, energy, or related industries. 

  • Knowledge of sales pipeline management and lead generation processes. 

  • Experience coordinating marketing initiatives, trade shows, or industry events. 

  • Familiarity with project management or sales operations processes.

7am - 4pm, on site in Surprise, AZ
