Job Title:Business Development Specialist
Job Location:Tampa, FL

General Purpose of the Position:
The Business Development Specialist reports to PTP's Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officers with the authority to integrate all necessary activities to identify, mature, and win opportunities. Successful applicants will understand services type contract arrangements and the organizational structure and mission of the 11 Unified Combatant Commands in the Department of Defense, the Department of State, and the Department of Homeland Security. The Business Development Specialist engages with senior customer leadership and acquisition teams and provide guidance to PTP proposal teams for producing a discriminating offer design/proposal in response to large, single, and multi-award contract bids or IDIQ Task Orders.
Successful applicants will possess confidence, knowledge, and hands-on leadership skills who works collaboratively with all stakeholders while staying focused on developing a focused pipeline of opportunities by performing market and economic analysis, business intelligence, design and execute formal capture plans, support marketing efforts, and monitor market and competitor activity.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and qualify a pipeline of future opportunities in the Federal, State and Local Government spaces that supports the company's diversification of customers, near-term revenue goals, and future growth.
  • Work in a team environment with the Business Development Group to develop successful market strategies, strategic partnerships and competitive analysis in support of the growth goals of the organization.
  • Assist in the development, tracking, and execution of customer and industry call plans specific to future opportunities from lead generation to capture stages of the business development cycle.
  • Assist in the development of business intelligence and conduct market and competitor analysis.
  • Assist in formalizing nondisclosure agreements, teaming agreements, strategic partnerships and pricing strategies to ensure successful execution of captures.
  • Coordinate and develop teaming opportunities for targeted opportunities.
  • Support customer outreach efforts as appropriate.
  • Prepare white papers, unsolicited proposals and concept papers, and responses to sole-source solicitations, Requests for Information (RFIs), and sources sought (SS).
  • Support the transition of a contract award to a designated PTP Program Manager.

Formal Education/Certifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in business, science or other related discipline

Knowledge & Experience:
  • 7-10 years of business development experience
  • Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
