We are looking for a motivated and resourceful Business Development Associate to support the growth of our partnerships within the performance marketing space, with a specific focus on the personal finance vertical. This individual will help identify prospective traffic partners and advertisers, conduct outreach, maintain new partner relationships, and support the growth of our customer acquisition business.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to develop their business development experience while learning more about lead generation, affiliate marketing, and performance marketing. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, comfortable communicating with prospective partners, and eager to contribute to a growing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and identify prospective traffic supply partners, publishers, and advertisers within the performance marketing industry.

  • Build and maintain organized target-account and prospect lists.

  • Support the business development process from initial outreach and qualification through onboarding and launch.

  • Build positive relationships with prospective and existing partners while clearly communicating the company’s value proposition.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including contacts, conversations, follow-ups, deal stages, and partnership activity.

  • Help improve sales tracking, reporting, documentation, and other operational processes.

  • Follow established outreach sequences, follow-up procedures, and pipeline-management practices.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to better understand traffic quality, advertiser demand, campaign performance, pricing, and partner requirements.

  • Develop a strong understanding of lead generation, affiliate marketing, customer acquisition, and how traffic moves between publishers, platforms, advertisers, and consumers.

  • Assist with preparing for and attending approximately five to six domestic industry conferences each year.

  • Use AI tools to support prospect research, personalize outreach, streamline follow-ups, and improve efficiency.

  • Monitor industry trends and identify potential partnership and revenue opportunities.

  • Provide regular updates on outreach activity, prospective partnerships, pipeline progress, and follow-up needs.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Previous experience in business development, sales, partnerships, customer service, account management, or a related field.

  • Experience with affiliate marketing, lead generation, or performance marketing is a plus but not required.

  • Comfortable conducting outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other communication channels.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to connect with prospective business partners.

  • Strong research skills and the ability to identify relevant companies, contacts, and partnership opportunities.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems or other tools used to track outreach, contacts, and follow-ups.

  • Self-motivated, persistent, and eager to learn in a fast-moving environment.

  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to follow-ups and documentation.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

  • Willingness to travel domestically approximately five to six times per year.
