DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Analyst will be involved in all aspects of renewable energy power marketing and strategy, with the ultimate goal of securing offtake and ensuring we are proactively positioned for success within the Companyโ€™s target markets.. This primarily includes, but is not limited to, drafting marketing materials and RFP submission packages, conducting research and regulatory tracking, including market intelligence, managing the teamโ€™s databases, and assisting with client calls. Secondary responsibilities may also include assisting with M&A and contracting processes. This position provides individuals with an opportunity to gain exposure to the sales and project management sides of the renewable energy business in a highly dynamic position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sales and Deal Origination: Participate in client engagements by generating customized sales materials for meetings and presentations, and assisting with necessary follow ups and action items.
  • Proposal Management: Work closely with project developers and other subject matter experts, including the pricing team, to assemble proposals to formal Requests for Proposals ("RFPs") and bilateral discussions.
  • Competitive Research and Regulatory Tracking: Stay on top of industry news and identify existing industry trends and market dynamics, and report findings via email reports and regular presentations on core Ranger markets, including in the state regulatory space.
  • Client Management: Help to identify new clients and contacts as necessary and help to maintain strong relationships with Rangerโ€™s existing clients, including helping to manage Rangerโ€™s client databases and participating in client calls and deal negotiations as necessary.
  • Marketing Materials: Prepare company marketing materials for external use, including slide decks, project overviews, and other promotional materials.
  • Prepare Quality Work Product: Prepare documents, reports, presentations, and other work products promptly and accurately, with appropriate attention to detail.
  • Reflect Well on Ranger: Always deal with stakeholders, including clients, government officials, contractors, and landowners, in a manner that is ethical, professional, and respectful, in addition to working collaboratively with all members of the internal Ranger team.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (clients, investors, other members of the Ranger team) over the phone, through virtual meetings, and in-person.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ISOs/RTOs and power markets
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Exposure to renewable industry through academic studies or internships a plus, but not required.
  • Occasional travel required (once a month on average, for 2-3 days).
  • This is an entry-level role that assumes 0-2 years of prior work experience.

The salary range for this role is 65k โ€“ 75k, based on experience. This salary range includes several career levels and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidateโ€™s education, experience, and qualifications.
