A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Business Process Analyst to support secure-by-design software development initiatives by analyzing, documenting, and improving engineering and security processes across the software development lifecycle.

Business Process Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Translate security requirements, policies, and standards into actionable engineering procedures and developer-friendly workflows while documenting “to-be” processes, process flows, swimlane diagrams, and step-by-step procedures that embed security requirements into software development practices.
  • Partner cross-functionally with software engineering, product management, architecture, security, compliance, and IT teams to gather feedback, facilitate process mapping workshops, identify process gaps and security risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering workflows.
  • Assist with editing, finalizing, maintaining, and publishing technical security standards, procedures, reusable templates, and supporting documentation while ensuring alignment with approved policies, evolving engineering practices, formatting standards, version control requirements, and publishing readiness.
  • Support vulnerability triage workflows, remediation tracking, risk acceptance processes, and security-related operational activities while helping engineering teams maintain efficient, measurable, and auditable secure development practices.
  • Drive process optimization and operational efficiency by leveraging analytical thinking, systems thinking, engineering feedback, and AI-enabled process automation approaches to reduce friction between engineering delivery and security compliance.

Business Process Analyst Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Process Analyst within software engineering or technology environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience documenting and improving security-related processes is preferred.
  • Experience supporting audits, risk assessments, or security reviews is preferred.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to design and automate processes is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, including Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, and secure software development workflows.
  • Familiarity with application security concepts, including Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, and threat modeling basics.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST is preferred.
  • Experience with engineering tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
  • Strong technical writing, editing, documentation, facilitation, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to translate security policies into practical engineering workflows and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, process modeling, systems thinking, and ability to work effectively with ambiguity and iterative drafts.
