Commercial Banking Manager – Lake Havasu, AZFounded over 90 years ago, we are a locally owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative that provides consumer and small business banking services to more than 150k members across the state.Position Summary:The Commercial Banking Manager is responsible for managing the team responsible for the origination, underwriting, closing of new and renewal loan prospects and the management of the existing non-troubled asset in the commercial loan portfolio. The Manager has direct reports: Commercial Loan Officers and Commercial Bankers The position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing deadlines, advanced interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and the desire to work as a team to support the overall success of the Bank. Persons in this position must possess a strong knowledge base about all types of conventional lending. Additionally, they must possess a strong knowledge of commercial lending, commercial banking, and the SBA 504 loan program, policies, and procedures.Essential Responsibilities:Oversee / Assist with all Commercial Loan Officer and Commercial Bankers responsibilities.Assist the Processors, Underwriters, and Loan Closers with their responsibilities as needed.Assist the Portfolio Managers with their responsibilities as needed.Assist Business Banking Officers on developing depository and treasury management relationships.Collaborate with leadership in creation of and implementation of department Strategic Plan.Collaborate with leadership in creation of and execution of department budget.Solicits and services a variety of Commercial and Government Guaranteed Loans.Recommend credits for approval or declination.Inspect real property to ensure the condition and quality of collateral.Monitor existing portfolio for performance, compliance, and ongoing needs.Cross sell services to develop and maintain a complete member relationship.Review and analyzes financial data submitted by borrower to determine credit worthiness and ability to repay request as structured.Calls on existing members periodically as part of a program of on-going member contact.Provides guidance to credit analysts and support staff and other loan officers.Represent the bank in negotiations and loan closings.Monitors the groups loan portfolio on a continuous basis.Monitors the groups loans after booking to ensure that they were properly booked.Review the groups loan documentation to ensure consistency with loan approval requirements and proper collateral perfection and lien position.Organize electronic files according to Synergy procedures.Assist in ordering of all necessary third-party reports.Monitor the groups preparation of the Borrower Risk Rating sheet.Assist in compiling documentation for potentially new vendors; submit to CCO/vendor management for approval, follow up when necessary.Assists in compiling any Commercial Mortgage Broker approval package, including SAMS verification, for Chief Credit Officer approval.Assist Underwriting group when needed with completion of financial spreads in Moody's, loan presentations in Sageworks and modification memos as directed.Assist Portfolio Management group when needed with completion of financial spreads in Moody's, annual reviews, and portfolio management reports, as directed.Assist in managing construction loan draws when needed.Required Qualifications:10+ years in Commercial Banking experience7+ years as Commercial Loan Officer or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of commercial lending compliance, government lending policies and procedures, and credit regulationsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or relevant industry certificationPrior Commercial lending experiencePrior management experience over a Commercial Lending group
