This role plays a critical part in driving data-powered decision-making and enterprise transformation initiatives by translating business needs into actionable analytics, insights, and data solutions.

The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, technology teams, and analytics professionals - bridging the gap between business strategy and data execution. This role requires a strong blend of analytical rigor, business acumen, stakeholder engagement, and experience working in complex, matrixed organizations.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

Business & Analytics Partnership

  • Partner with stakeholders across Corporate, Practice, and Functional teams to understand business strategies, operational challenges, and decision-making needs.
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear analytics use cases, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing data-driven insights that support business transformation, performance improvement, and innovation initiatives.

Requirements & Solution Design

  • Develop detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for BI and analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, and solution architects to design scalable, high-quality data and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, data definitions, and technical implementation.

Data & Insights Enablement

  • Support the development and adoption of enterprise reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions.
  • Validate data accuracy, business logic, and metric definitions to ensure consistent and reliable insights.
  • Analyze trends, patterns, and performance data to identify opportunities, risks, and improvement areas.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Lead working sessions, requirement workshops, and review meetings with stakeholders at varying levels of the organization.
  • Communicate complex analytical concepts and findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Support change management efforts related to analytics adoption and data-driven decision-making.

Continuous Improvement & Governance

  • Contribute to the evolution of BI standards, best practices, data governance, and analytics maturity across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methods used in business analysis and BI delivery.
  • Support prioritization, roadmap planning, and intake processes for BI and Data Insights initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data models, and KPI frameworks.
  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Exposure to transformation initiatives involving analytics, automation, or AI-driven insights.
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Analytics Analyst, or similar role, with significant exposure to BI, reporting, or data initiatives.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements for data, reporting, and analytics solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide decision-making.
