Position Overview: 

The Vice President, Strategic Finance, Planning & Analytics serves as a key strategic partner to both the Executive and Operating Leadership Teams, providing financial leadership, enterprise analytics, and strategic decision support to drive long-term value creation for the Company. 

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for leading enterprise financial planning and analysis, including the annual operating plan process, strategic finance initiatives, major capital expenditure investment evaluation, pricing and business analytics. This position collaborates cross-functionally to transform financial, commercial, operational, and market data into actionable insights, scalable tools, and strategic recommendations that improve business performance and support decision-making at the Division, and Executive Leadership levels. 

The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, executive presence, and analytical rigor, with a proven ability to influence decision-making, lead data-enabled transformation, and drive results across a large, decentralized organization. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and develop the FP&A, Strategic Finance, Pricing Analytics, and Business Analytics teams, fostering a culture of analytical excellence, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while delivering insights that drive enterprise performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Division and Corporate leadership to establish performance objectives, evaluate business performance, and provide actionable, data-driven recommendations that enhance sustainable growth, profitability, cash generation, returns on invested capital, and long-term shareholder value.
  • Lead enterprise-wide financial planning processes, including annual budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, and strategic business outlooks, improving transparency, accountability, forecasting accuracy, and decision-making across the organization.
  • Lead the enterprise business analytics strategy, partnering closely with technology and data enablement teams to leverage predictive analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced decision-support tools to enhance forecasting, optimize business performance, and improve capital allocation.
  • Develop, improve, and oversee business cases, investment frameworks, scenario analyses, forecasting tools, and decision-support models that support informed decision-making.
  • Drive the standardization and continuous enhancement of analytics capabilities, methodologies, and performance measurement frameworks across divisions and corporate functions to improve consistency, insights generation, and decision quality.
  • Provide strategic oversight of pricing analytics and commercial performance measurement, partnering with Division leadership to identify and evaluate pricing execution, market dynamics, customer trends, product mix, margin expansion opportunities, and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong partnerships with Division Presidents, Division Finance Leaders, Corporate Officers, and Executive Leadership to align financial strategy with business performance objectives, analytics capabilities, and enterprise priorities.
  • Perform all activities in accordance with the Company's Mission, Vision and Values, and in compliance with the Company's policies, procedures, and Code of Ethical Business Conduct.

Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, business analytics, data and analytics, management consulting, or related disciplines, including experience leading enterprise-wide teams and initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced degree/certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives to influence strategic, operational, and financial decisions through rigorous analysis, business insights generation, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Deep expertise in financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, investment evaluation, business performance management, and data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of modern data and analytics capabilities, including business intelligence, predictive analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, automation, data visualization, and decision-support technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, drive adoption of advanced analytics and digital capabilities, and influence change across a complex, decentralized organization.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect financial, operational, commercial, and market insights to help drive business outcomes.
  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial, operational, and analytical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and boards.
  • Proven track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing finance and analytics organizations, strengthening leadership capabilities, and cultivating a culture of performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel 25% of the time across North America
