Job description

Equitable is seeking a dynamic Business Analyst-Life associateto join our growing team in Springfield IL.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Gathering and analyzing data to prepare and distribute existing plan annual reviews

  • Has expert level knowledge of plans which allows the candidate to identify anomalies in data to better prepare and present reviews and proposals

  • Applies problem solving techniques to present optimum analysis and proposed changes to plans

  • Runs in-force illustrations and alternate proposals to provide projections for insureds to make informed decisions regarding their policies

  • Ability to learn new product characteristics to apply and adjust parameters of the typical review process

  • Understands CES products and software in creating case studies, including capacity analysis.

  • Developing financial models using excel and carrier software

  • Embraces learning carrier software and product characteristics

  • Accurately enters data and proactively addresses errors prior to distributing materials

  • Answers questions from Advisors regarding materials prepared to positively impact retention

  • Understands the importance of the work in completing and maintaining the sale

  • Communicates complex concepts with ease to individuals with all levels of understanding of our product offerings.

  • Handles multiple priorities with large volumes of work and associated deadlines

  • Effortlessly uses Excel and other MS office tools

  • Execute the CES LIPQ system as well as SERP Builder tools for maximizing efficiency and effectiveness in building plans.

  • Understands the importance of concierge level service and the treatment philosophy toward CES advisors.

  • Ad hoc projects related to multi life and LIP marketing and design

  • Manages compliance approvals for marketing materials used in sales process

This position is an in-office role that allows you to stay fully engaged with your team to provide outstanding, customer-focused service during our core hours (8:00 AM-5:00 PM). Office location is 4341 Acer Grove Road, Suite C300, Springfield, IL 62711
The base salary range for this position is $58,000 - $60,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1+ Years experience in Analytical positions

  • Strong math skills

  • Excellent knowledge and application of Excel and MS office tools and ability and interest in learning all supportive software for the role

  • Strong analytical background

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Insurance a plus

  • Expert level of knowledge of product, policy and plan details.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to ask questions to maximize learning and proficiency

  • A solution-based mindset and solution based, creative thinking skills

  • Strong marketing communication skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work with large work volumes and short deadlines

Knowledge of Product Line: Knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for specific products; ability to develop product line processes and strategies.
