Job description

Business Analyst - claims, Medicaid and 837 is mandatory
  • At least 3 years Medicaid/Healthcare/Insurance industry experience required
  • Assist with the review of Agency documentation, system design documents, and other reference material to develop user stories to formally document requirements for the new MMIS.
  • Understanding and knowledge of claims processing and adjudication are essential for this role. Candidate must have knowledge of different claim types and different rules are applied to different claim types for payment. This knowledge will be used to create user stories and test cases detailed enough to ensure the new MMIS processes and pays new claims based on the nuances of Illinois Medicaid rules for each claim type.
  • Ability to document test cases utilizing your claims adjudication and Medicaid knowledge and analytical background.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing as enhancements are made to the MMIS modules in the new system
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to problem solve and find answers on your own.
  • Collaborate with teams and client stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and research capabilities
