Overview

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Techincal Business Analyst โ€“ Payments to support the analysis, design, and delivery of enterprise credit card payment processing solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance secure, compliant payment platforms while driving improvements across the end-to-end payment lifecycle in a collaborative Agile environment.

As a Business Analyst โ€“ Payments you will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional solutions that support credit card payment processing systems. You will partner with business stakeholders, development teams, QA, compliance, and external payment vendors to deliver secure, PCI-compliant payment solutions while supporting the full payment lifecycle, including authorization, settlement, fraud management, dispute resolution, and payment gateway integrations.


Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements for credit card payment processing systems.
  • Translate complex business requirements into business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements documents (FRDs), user stories, process flows, data mappings, and use cases.
  • Analyze end-to-end payment lifecycle processes, including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, tokenization, 3D Secure (3DS), and fraud management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, compliance, risk, operations, and third-party payment vendors to deliver payment solutions.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and regression testing, including test case reviews and defect management.
  • Ensure payment solutions comply with PCI-DSS standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements workshops, sprint ceremonies, and Agile planning sessions.
  • Analyze payment transaction data and reporting to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support production deployments, post-implementation validation, and incident resolution for payment systems.
  • Document API specifications and integration requirements for payment gateways and payment processors.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4โ€“7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst supporting credit card or digital payment processing systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including card networks, issuers, acquirers, payment gateways, and payment processors.
  • Experience with payment authorization, clearing, settlement, refunds, and transaction lifecycle processes.
  • Experience with PCI-DSS compliance, tokenization, encryption, and payment security best practices.
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and the ability to interpret API documentation, XML, JSON, and message schemas.
  • Experience writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps, data flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar project management tools.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to analyze payment-related data.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with EMV 3D Secure (EMV 3DS), EMV chip technology, contactless payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or other digital wallets.
  • Knowledge of chargeback processing, dispute management, and merchant reconciliation.
  • Experience working with payment platforms such as Fiserv, FIS, ACI Worldwide, Worldpay, Stripe, Adyen, or Cybersource.
  • Experience with fraud detection platforms, fraud rules engines, and transaction monitoring.
  • Familiarity with payment messaging standards including ISO 8583 and ISO 20022.
  • Experience working in Waterfall or hybrid project delivery environments.
  • CBAP, PMI-PBA, Accredited ACH Professional (AAP), or other relevant Business Analysis or payments industry certifications.
