Business Analyst (W2 Only)

Location: Vienna, VA / Southfield, MI (Local Candidates Only)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our  team. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver innovative technology solutions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement elicitation sessions.

  • Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product owners.

  • Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend process improvements.

  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and production support.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.

  • Strong experience in requirement gathering and business process analysis.

  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Power BI, or Tableau.

  • Background in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, or Automotive domains.

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.

Additional Requirements
  • Local candidates to Vienna, VA or Southfield, MI preferred.

  • Must be available to work on a W2 basis.

  • No C2C.

  • No current or future visa sponsorship available.
