O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based in Torrington, CT, is seeking a JD Edwards/Application Business Analyst to join our Information Technology team. Reporting directly to the CIO, this position plays a critical role in supporting, configuring, and continuously improving our JD Edwards environment. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will translate business needs into technology solutions, lead system enhancements and implementations, provide end-user support and training, and help optimize the systems that drive O&G's construction materials operations.

The JD Edwards/Application Business Analyst is expected to:

  • Work collaboratively across the organization with all key stakeholders
  • Implement and continually enhance JD Edwards ERP.
  • Translate business procedures into a comprehensive JDE application flow, create configuration plan and ensure all critical steps are completed.
  • Ensure system configuration and modifications are properly documented and play a key role in overall improvement of system documentation.
  • Front line production support responding to user needs in terms of applications, procedures, & reports.
  • Respond to incidents & service requests, escalated by the IT Help Desk related to JD Edwards.
  • Work as liaison between the business users of applications and the IT Development team.
  • Identify trends that would improve JD Edwards functionality & user experience.
  • Participate in the implementation of technology projects.
  • Conduct training programs designed to educate users on JD Edwards.
  • When assigned to implementation or change for JD Edwards, this role is expected to have total accountability to implement a plan, roll out, training and create user buy in.
  • Create and support end user JD Edwards training documentation.

Specific tasks of the JD Edwards/Application Business Analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate solution roll outs.
  • Testing and support testing efforts, including creating scripts.
  • Document or assist with documenting new technology and training processes.
  • Train or assist with the training of new solutions.

Skills Requirements

  • Extensive experience with JD Edwards software (configuration, incident reporting, testing, etc.)
  • JD Edwards experience with General Accounting, AR (inventory/Sales), AP, Payroll, and Integrities.
  • JD Edwards software design and administration knowledge are preferred.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Being diligent with time management
  • Reports Now Experience a plus
  • Documenting training procedures and providing end user training.
  • Highly analytical mindset.
  • Some technical skills such as SQL a plus.
  • 7 years of relevant experience preferred
