Job description

Join MAPEI Corporation, a global leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals and building materials. As a Product Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the full product marketing cycle in a post-development environment. This position works closely with the Business Manager to drive product strategy, market positioning, and lifecycle management. Your expertise will support the success of MAPEI's product lines by identifying market opportunities, defining promotional activities, and ensuring product success from introduction through phase-out.

  • Identify market potential, establish pricing and market strategies, and estimate potential sales.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies, address distribution channel issues, and manage mature products through phase-out.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to define promotional activities and publicize the product through press, sales teams, and distribution channels.
  • Provide expertise in the assigned product area and contribute to the development of company business plans.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate assigned programs to achieve financial/budgetary goals and optimize resource allocation.
  • Manage resources to execute assigned programs efficiently.
  • Coordinate program planning with customers to align manufacturing schedules, goals, design criteria, and cost considerations.
  • Work cross-functionally with various internal teams to ensure seamless execution of product strategies.
  • Oversee product introduction and market penetration efforts in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
  • Monitor and manage the lifecycle of established products to ensure financial success.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and work procedures.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or the equivalent plus a minimum of two years of industry related experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Science, preferably chemistry degree, desired MBA or an advanced technical degree is highly desired.

  • Technical & Regulatory Acumen: Demonstrated background working within a highly regulated, science-driven, or technically complex industry (e.g., medical devices, chemicals, heavily regulated software, manufacturing).

  • Minimum of two years of industry-related experience, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of product marketing, business planning, and go-to-market strategy execution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build cross-functional relationships.
  • High level of personal integrity, supporting MAPEI's Code of Ethics.
  • Familiarity with BMS Policy and environmental laws related to product development and marketing.
