Job description

Account Manager – Client Growth

Location: Remote (United States)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Director of Client Experience and Revenue

About Fit4Travel

Fit4Travel simplifies retreat planning for fitness and wellness professionals, partnering with studio owners, instructors, and wellness professionals to run group retreats across six continents. Our renewal rate speaks for itself — once a client runs their first retreat with us, the relationship rarely needs to be sold again. We're a fast-growing, bootstrapped company with a loyal client base and a reputation built on service, consistency, and genuine relationships. If you have a passion for health, wellness, and travel and want to join a fast-growing startup, keep reading.

Purpose and Summary

This is a relationship-driven sales role. An Account Manager takes ownership of confirmed retreat leader accounts, studio owners, instructors, and wellness professionals running retreats through Fit4Travel, and is responsible for growing them year over year. Once a group has confirmed with 10 or more travelers, the Account Manager takes that relationship all the way through departure, rebooking, and expansion.

Success in this role means carefully attending to a client's retreat needs, identifying ways to increase individual participant registrations, and enhancing the overall retreat experience through Fit4Travel's services and products. When a problem occurs, you solve it. When a retreat leader has a question, they know exactly who to call. You can motivate and inspire retreat leaders toward success, have crucial conversations when needed, and build the kind of relationship that leads to long-term client retention, not just a completed trip.

This is a farming, consultative relationship role, not an order-taking one. We're looking for someone who coaches and consults, not someone who simply executes whatever the client asks. If a client hesitates on rebooking, we want someone who asks why and works to overcome it, not someone who quietly lets the account go quiet.

Essential Duties

  • Act as the liaison between the retreat leader and internal departments (operations, concierge, onboarding) to ensure every detail of the retreat is accurate, timely, and exceeds expectations
  • Take ownership of each account once it transitions from the Onboarding Success Manager (at 10+ confirmed travelers) through departure, rebooking, and account growth
  • Conduct and document the one-month pre-departure meeting, final pre-trip brief, and post-trip debrief for each assigned account
  • Coordinate time log and flight review completion ahead of departure
  • Monitor client needs, explain pricing and value, and proactively pursue rebooking — treat every non-renewal as something to understand and address, not accept
  • Educate clients on best practices that lead to stronger retreat outcomes and higher registrations
  • Maintain accurate, same-day CRM documentation of all client interactions, account status, and growth activity
  • Provide ongoing reporting to retreat leaders and internal team members on retreat promotion progress and account health
  • Build real rapport and long-term relationships with each retreat leader — this is a relationship business, not a transactional one
  • Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and the competitive landscape

Core Competencies

Accountability, attention to detail, time management, critical thinking, empathy and EQ, strong verbal and written communication, self-driven initiative, organization, sound decision-making, composure under pressure, integrity, dependability, and genuine customer service instincts.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in account management, client success, or a relationship-driven sales role — travel, hospitality, and wellness backgrounds are a strong fit, but not required
  • A consultative mindset: someone who can push back, ask the right questions, and guide a client rather than simply take direction from them
  • Comfort owning outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with real accountability
  • Strong CRM discipline — accurate, current records are part of doing the job well, not an afterthought
  • Genuine drive to grow accounts, not just maintain them
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • This is not an assistant or order-taking role. We're looking for someone who leads the relationship, pushes back when it serves the account, and treats every client interaction as a chance to grow the business — not just service what's already booked

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $60,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based bonus structure — no cap for top performers; realistic first-year on-target earnings of $85,000–$105,000+ for someone who grows their book aggressively
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance (company covers 50% of health premiums)
  • 10 paid time off days (increasing by an additional day for each year of tenure) and 7 sick days annually
  • Fully remote — work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Opportunity to periodically travel on an international Fit4Travel itinerary alongside clients and team members

Work Environment

Full-time, minimum 40 engaged hours per week, Monday–Friday, in a professional, quiet home office setup with reliable internet and phone service. This is a client-facing role — you'll represent the Fit4Travel brand directly, every day.
