Compensation: $120,000 - $170,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus

As we continue expanding into new markets, we are seeking experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorneys to serve as the lead litigation attorney within their respective state.
This is a unique opportunity for an attorney who wants to help build a market, establish strong litigation resources, and work closely with leadership to develop a successful personal injury practice within their jurisdiction.
Position Overview
The Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney will be responsible for managing a personal injury caseload from pre-suit through trial while helping establish and strengthen the firm's litigation presence within the assigned state.
The ideal candidate has substantial Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) and Commercial Vehicle Accident (CVA) experience, strong courtroom and trial skills, and established knowledge of the local legal landscape.
Requirements
Litigation Management
  • Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution
  • Handle MVA, CVA, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex injury claims
  • Develop litigation strategies and oversee all phases of litigation
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations
  • Prepare and try cases when settlement is not in the client's best interest
  • Work closely with paralegals, case managers, and support staff to maximize outcomes
State Expansion & Litigation Leadership
  • Serve as Bush & Bush Law Group's lead personal injury attorney within the assigned state
  • Assist the firm in establishing and growing personal injury operations within the state
  • Work with Operations team to develop relationships with medical providers, treatment facilities, and expert witnesses to support client care and case development
  • Work with Operations team to Identify and establish relationships with investigators, accident reconstructionists, life care planners, economists, vocational experts, and other litigation professionals necessary to support case strategy
  • Assist in developing state-specific Pre-lit and litigation procedures, workflows, and best practices
  • Provide guidance regarding local court rules, litigation procedures, and jurisdiction-specific requirements
  • Collaborate with firm leadership to ensure consistent client service and litigation standards
  • Assist with training and mentoring future attorneys, paralegals, and litigation staff as the firm's presence grows within the state
  • Serve as a strategic resource regarding legal developments, trends, and opportunities within the jurisdiction
Client Advocacy
  • Maintain exceptional communication with clients throughout the life of the case
  • Provide strategic legal advice and case evaluations
  • Ensure clients receive outstanding representation and service
  • Deliver favorable outcomes through settlement or trial
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing in either of these states Ohio, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Washington, California, or New York
  • Minimum 10 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience
  • Extensive MVA and CVA litigation experience required
  • Significant deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience
  • First-chair trial experience strongly preferred
  • Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to independently manage a litigation docket
  • Experience working remotely while maintaining high productivity and responsiveness
  • Established relationships with medical providers, experts, and litigation support professionals are a plus
