New York Bus Sales the largest authorized Blue Bird School Bus dealership in New York State currently has an immediate opening for a Used School Bus Sales Representative in our Chittenango, NY location. 

New York Bus Sales is a full-service dealership offering sales, service, parts, and graphics. We provide safe, dependable buses for our customers and professional services to meet their needs. 


JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Used School Bus Sales representative is to sell & support the sales of used school buses.

SUPERVISION 

The Used School Bus Sales representative follows procedures set forth by the School Bus Sales Manager for performance of a variety of duties while most assignments are completed independently. 


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Respond to sales inquiries and concerns via phone, electronically or in person.

Follow up on sales leads via email or phone. 

Provide monthly sales report.

Maintain & prepare all required paperwork related to used bus sales including invoicing & DMV forms.

Do minor repairs on buses to get them roadworthy, ready for customer purchase and to maximize sales opportunities.

Ensure customer satisfaction and good client relationships while using ethical sales methods.

Follow all prescribed safety methods and perform work safely.

OTHER DUTIES 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

EDUCATION / REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous sales experience preferred.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Demonstrate good Internet skills, including communication with customers, internal service departments and vendors.  
  • Ability to plan and organize appointments and accomplish multiple responsibilities simultaneously.  
  • Ability to work independently, accomplishing the goals of the position with little direct supervision. 
  • Hold and maintain a valid NYS CDL Class A or B license with air brakes and passenger endorsements.  REQUIRED.
  • Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed. Proof of liability and property damage insurance on all vehicles used for travel is required. 
  • Be safety conscious and demonstrate the ability to follow prescribed safety practices as to prevent injuries to self and other employees.
