Position Details
Advertising/Posting Title LCOM Sr. Financial Administrator Posting Summary
Serve as Finance Administrator for the Robert Larner MD College of Medicine (LCOM), providing strategic oversight of financial planning, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting , compliance and financial reporting across a complex academic medical environment. Lead the financial management of diverse funding sources supporting approximately 900 full-time, 1,600 non-salaried faculty, 500 staff , 500 medical students ,and 120 graduate students. Partner with college leadership, departmental administrators, University Financial Services, the University of Vermont Medical Center, and external stakeholders to ensure sound fiscal stewardship, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and data-driven decision-making. Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean for Finance and Administration in the Dean's Office (LCOM). Serves as the Dean's Office signatory on financial documents and Treasurer of University Medical Education Associates Inc. (UMEA), a component unit of the University of Vermont.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and six to ten years' experience including financial management, fund accounting and budget development, variance analysis and reconciliation. Experience working in a team environment. Effective communication, organizational and analytical skills. Highly proficient with Excel and spreadsheets, ERP Systems, and related programs.
Desirable Qualifications
High proficiency with all Microsoft suite programs.
Axiom experience.
Anticipated Pay Range $115,000-$130,000 Other Information Special Conditions A probationary period may be required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position FLSA Exempt Union Position No
