Job description

JOB PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to positively represent the Buffalo Wild Wings Brand as a first point of contact for Guests. This role is responsible for ensuring Guests are seated in a timely matter, and that all Guest needs are managed with a sense of urgency in a friendly and helpful manner. 

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide friendly welcome to incoming guests by opening by opening the door and ensuring timely seating
  • Accurately communicate waiting times to Guests and maintain constant communication to ensure they updated in regards to their seating status and escort Guests to tables
  • Manage seating waitlist, seat guests in appropriate area to ensure they are comfortable and that a particular server does not have too many tables and monitor workflow
  • Notify guests of specials and promotions and that their server will be with them promptly
  • Assist with the assembling of takeout orders and answer telephones when necessary
  • Assist Servers with running food, bussing tables, and refilling drinks, but does not serve alcohol if under age 21
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of host station, ensuring all menus are properly stocked and clean, restock supplies as necessary
  • Respond to customer complaints and bring any issues to the attention of the manager
  • Thank guests as the leave and solicit feedback about the quality of service of they experienced, express hope that they will return to BWW in the future 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
  • Basic mathematical skills with ability to handle money accurately process credit card transactions
  • Basic knowledge of Point of Sales systems
  • Conflict management skills, analytical skills, and high degree of emotional intelligence in order to recognize and solve problems that come with the position
  • Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in restaurant environment
