Job description

Join The Greater Dayton School team as a Part-Time School Bus Driver. Assist the school’s bus route while ensuring safety for all students.


Hours:

  • Monday – Friday
  • 6am-8:30am
  • 4pm - 6:30pm
  • NO holidays or weekends


Responsibilities will include:

  • Learn the bus routes
  • Drive bus routes during the timeframe
  • Helping students get buckled in (with assistance from aide)
  • Keeping students seated (monitored by bus aide)
  • Communicating with other bus drivers
  • Ensuring Student Safety (monitored by bus aide)
  • Taking Attendance
  • Safe Transportation of Students: Safety and reliability are two of the most important factors in the transportation for students to and from our School.


Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have current CDL with passenger endorsement and/or school bus equivalent
  • Must have HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to authorize a background check
  • Previous work or experience with youth preferred
