TO: All Kettering City School District locations and outside locations as designated by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Capital.
POSITION: BUS DRIVER
Effective 2026-27 School Year
LOCATION: TRANSPORTATION
GENERAL INFORMATION: Seeking individuals to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff, and others to and from school, residential neighborhoods and field trips.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, Partial List:
  1. Ensure passenger safety, maintains discipline on bus.
  2. Transport students on field trips and outings, athletic events, and other extracurricular events, often in the evening and at nights as assigned.
  3. Conduct a daily pre-trip safety inspection of the bus prior to transporting students according to state mandated guidelines.
  4. Maintain assigned schedule and discharges students only at authorized stops.
  5. Adhere to the preventive maintenance schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS, Partial List:
  1. Class B CDL with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements required.
  2. High School Diploma or GED
  3. Must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of two years of driving experience.
  4. Meets all mandated health requirements.
  5. Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
