BUS AIDE - Floater
6:10am - 8:00am & 2:00pm - 4:15pm*
*needs to be available until 9:30am or 5pm - may depend on covered schedule
SUMMARY: Assists in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists the bus driver in maintaining good conduct of all students assigned to the aide.
2. Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus.
3. Provides basic first aid and administers prescription medications as needed.
4. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
5. Demonstrates positive relationship with students, staff and parents.
6. Establishes a supportive and empathetic relationship with students.
7. Performs related duties as assigned by supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Valid Ohio Student Monitor Permit (may be obtained after employment).
2. Must possess valid Ohio driver's license.
3. Must pass criminal background check.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Effective Date: ASAP
2. Terms of Employment: One-year probationary period.
3. Hours of Work: 6:10-8:00am AND 2:00 - 4:15pm (approx.. 4 hours)
