Job description

Bus Driver - Part Time

Capital School District currently has school bus driver positions available. The position requires a current School Bus Driver's license, either a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A or B, an annual physical examination, no more than 8 points on the driver's record, a negative TB test or satisfactory chest x-ray, and a GED or High School Diploma.

Essential duties and responsibilities include providing safe and comfortable transportation service for children, obeying all traffic laws and State Board Regulations pertaining to pupil transportation, reporting mechanical problems, keeping the bus clean, operating the bus on a regular schedule, and attending in-service meetings conducted by the Transportation Supervisor.

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, and having close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Standard requirements include a favorable criminal background check, child abuse registry check, tuberculin test, physical, and mandatory direct deposit of paycheck.
