Job description

St. David's School is seeking a part-time bus driver with a flexible schedule to drive for school field trips and extra-curricular activities.

Under the direction of the Assistant Athletics Director, the bus driver must provide safe transportation to and from athletic/event sites while maintaining a supportive and positive atomosphere. May also provide support in other areas as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Possess appropriate class license (CDL).
  2. Knowledge of the rules/guidelines related to vans and commercial passenger vehicles (bus) where applicable to ensure bus transportation provided is in complicance with the NCDOT regulations.
  3. Desire and ability to work with children.
  4. Track record of building relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents.

Accountabilities:

  1. Work as a team member with other staff.
  2. Communicate effectively with children, their parents, coaches and other St. David's School staff.
  3. Report any concerns to your supervisor.
  4. Maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children and staff.
  5. Take direction from Director.

Job Type: Part-time, non-exempt.

Hours: 15-25 hours per week maximum

Potential candidates are required to pass a background test and drug screen prior to being hired. Note: St. David's will provide opportunities to obtain both at no expense to applicant.
