Job description

A pharmacy technician role is available on a 13-week contract-to-hire basis in Burnsville, MN, offering an opportunity to work alongside registered pharmacists in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. This position requires flexibility in scheduling with shifts rotating between 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, or 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, including weekend rotations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fill prescriptions and prepare intravenous (IV) medications under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Collaborate with billing to enter data accurately for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement processes.
  • Assist in prepackaging medications in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support pharmacists in final prescription checks and coordinate the timely delivery of medications to customers.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by receiving and rotating medications, tracking lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting in physical inventories.
  • Help ensure a clean, safe work environment by checking equipment calibration and safety under technician supervision.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Technician with a valid Minnesota license.
  • Retail pharmacy experience is welcome; training provided for qualified candidates without direct retail background.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
