Job Summary:

Mission Health is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team located in Asheville, North Carolina.
Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified or board eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Experience with common co-occurring conditions such as trauma spectrum, eating disorders, and substance use disorders
  • 100% inpatient setting at Sweeten Creek
  • 24 bed Child & Adolescent Unit
  • 7 on/7 off schedule with 10-hour shifts
  • Provides Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) consultation with employed primary care integrated clinicians
  • Please note that this position does not offer visa support

About Mission Health’s Behavioral Health Services:
  • 120-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, Sweeten Creek, which opened in 2023
  • 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
  • Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department
  • Active ECT program
  • Involvement in teaching and supervision as part of new residency training program through MAHEC, with academic appointments possible
