Gladding McBean in Lincoln, CA is a manufacturer of vitrified clay pipe for sewers, clay roof tile, piazza clay floor tile, glazed terra cotta pottery, architectural terra cotta, sacked mortar clay, chimney tops and caps. WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
Under the supervision of the East Coast Territory Manager, this position supports the Architectural Terra Cotta Division in all areas of field survey, digital documentation, and drafting of replacement terra cotta units on historic and restoration projects. The position requires the ability to interpret contract documents, accurately capture existing conditions, and translate field and digital survey data into clear drafting deliverables and unit schedules.; and is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Degree preferred in Architecture, Historic Preservation, Construction, or related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 3- 5 years experience in faรงade survey, restoration, construction materials, or related field
  • Architectural terra cotta or historic faรงade experience strongly preferred
  • AutoCAD proficiency (3+ years preferred)
  • Proficient in Applied Mathematics
  • Experience with photogrammetry and/or 3D laser scanning required
  • Autodesk Inventor experience a plus
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Bilingual (Spanish) not required but a plus
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

  • Frequently drive a personal vehicle to go to job sites or construction sites.

  • Up to 25% travel time required.
  • Ability to climb scaffolding and work from swing stage or lift equipment in compliance with safety requirements
  • Ability to access and observe faรงade conditions and removed terra cotta fragments on active construction sites
