Description

 Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated Land Surveyor to work in its Surveying Group. This position will include working on a wide range of survey projects, including boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, IDOT plat of highways, topographic surveying, and more. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication, project collaboration, and teamwork.

Requirements

 Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in business development activities with existing and prospective clients. 
  • Prepare and review boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, IDOT plats, topographic surveys, subdivision plats, legal descriptions, easement exhibits, and roadway survey deliverables. 
  • Analyzes and supervises the analysis of legal descriptions and prepares/signs plats
  • Assist PM with project budgets, schedules and proposals. 
  • Manage multiple projects and client deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Perform boundary analysis, calculations, and plat review. 
  • Conduct research of deeds, plats, easements, and public records both online and at county recorder offices. 
  • Support field operations utilizing modern surveying technology and workflows.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: 

  • Be a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with a minimum of 2-5 years of experience working as a land surveyor in the State of Illinois 
  • Have a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Trimble Business Center. 
  • Be able to operate Trimble robotic total station and Trimble GPS equipment. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
