The Role

As a Road Survey Operator/Driver, you’ll be the boots on the ground — and behind the wheel — of our high-tech data collection operation. Your day-to-day will include:

• Operating state-of-the-art data collection vehicles equipped with advanced sensors to capture pavement and roadway condition data across the US.

• Running and maintaining onboard data-collection computers to gather pavement surface, structural condition, geometry, and video imaging data.

• Performing basic data processing and supporting the team with data checking and management tasks.

• Calibrating, verifying, and maintaining all survey equipment and sensors to ensure data accuracy.

• Assisting equipment assembly specialists during the installation of new sensor systems.

• Keeping vehicles and associated equipment in excellent working order and scheduling service visits as needed.

• Following all OSHA regulations and company quality procedures.

• Attending training sessions to stay current with upgrades and improvements to survey technology.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with the right mix of technical aptitude, road-ready independence, and a team-first attitude:

• A valid Driver’s License (long-distance driving experience preferred).

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.

• Solid computer skills, including experience with MS Excel, MS Teams and MS Word.

• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time during peak season (field/office ratio: 75/25).

• Good navigational skills; ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions in the field.

• Ability to obtain a passport and travel by air domestically or internationally as required.

• Basic electronics and mechanical knowledge (advanced knowledge is a real plus).

• A high school diploma (post-secondary certificates, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree highly preferred).

• A positive, can-do attitude and genuine team-player mindset.

Bonus Points For…

• Working knowledge of GIS applications.

• Past military experience — the discipline and adaptability you bring is highly valued.

• A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
