Job description

Location: Orlando to Ocala, FL
 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Surveyor with Construction Surveying knowledge to join our team. This position is responsible for performing Construction Layout for various construction projects throughout Central Florida and Land Surveys, while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction surveying, leadership skills, and familiarity with modern surveying equipment and software. The position is a single man crew operating a Robotic Instrument and GPS.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide Construction Staking for Various Commercial/Residential/Infrastructure projects.
• Interpret construction plans and specifications to ensure accurate survey layout.

• Perform Various Land Surveys (Boundary & ALTA Surveys, Topographic Surveys, As-builts, etc.)

• Operate and maintain surveying instruments such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
• Perform field calculations and verify accuracy of survey data.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to meet project requirements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed field notes, sketches, and reports.

• Vehicle Maintenance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Train and mentor field staff as needed.

 

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in construction surveying.
• Proficiency in operating GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors (e.g., Trimble, Leica, or Carlson).
• Strong understanding of construction plans.
• Experience working on infrastructure, roadway, and commercial construction projects.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in outdoor field conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
