Job description

Customer Service and Sales Associate

Construction Materials Group is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Materials Sales Associate. If you have a passion for providing exceptional service and an interest in concrete construction, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

- Self education on concrete products and construction paractices

- Demonstrate and practice practical applicaton of concrete materials

- Present to the customer as the expert in the field of concrete

- Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner

- Provide product information and recommendations

- Process sales orders

- Load out materials on customer vehicles by hand and with forklift

- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized warehouse and showroom

- Become the "expert" in concrete construction and solve problems in a timely and effective manner

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations

- Contribute to achieving sales targets and company objectives

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or construction-related field is a plus

- Proven customer service experience, practical and hands on knowledge

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to lift up to 50#

- Construction knowledge is desirable, but not required

- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks

- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems

- Clean Driving record for the past 3 years

- A pre-employment drug screen is required
