Job description

Job Summary: The C. Harper Auto Group is looking for a Maintenance Team Member. This positionโ€™s duties and responsibilities are to maintain and keep all buildings and grounds of each location in top condition, ensure full and productive use of the C. Harper Auto Group facilities, and maintain standards set by company guidelines and regulations. This role involves labor duties such as grass cutting, snow removal, operation of large vehicles, and transporting dealership vehicles. Additionally, the Maintenance Team Member will assist with daily routine maintenance across all dealerships and support other team members in completing their tasks or objectives.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.

  • Participate in various general maintenance tasks.

  • Perform minor wall/drywall repairs and painting; address minor plumbing issues (e.g., faucet washers, clogged toilets, fountains, irrigation).

  • Maintain parking lots and signage, clear storm water grates, paint curbs and stripes lots, and fill potholes.

  • Transport tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles as needed, occasionally using the tow truck.

  • Building & Ground Maintenance along with grass cutting and landscaping responsibilities.ย 

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, techniques, skills, materials, and methods for landscaping and lawn maintenance.

  • Ability to identify the tools and equipment needed for various jobs.

  • Proficiency in operating riding and push mowers, power tillers, power edgers, weed whips, blowers, sprayers, tractors, skid steer loaders, dump-bed trucks, and basic hand and power tools.

  • Capability to operate large vehicles.

  • Clean driving record.

  • Ability to perform minor maintenance of grounds-related equipment.

  • Capacity to work in a safe and efficient manner.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Valid driverโ€™s license.

  • Physical capabilities to bend at the waist and knees, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds, and operate light machinery. The job is subject to environmental conditions and may require the use of specialized equipment.
