We are currently seeking a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Specialist for our client in the HVAC Engineering Solutions domain. Duration: Full-time

Location: Greenwood Village, Colorado

Salary: $36.00–$45.00/Hourly (based on 5–20 years of experience) plus regular OT expected + Benefits

Role: Building Automation Systems (BAS) Specialist

Primary Skills: Engineering

Role Description: The Building Automation Systems (BAS) Specialist must have 5+ years of experience. As the Controls Service Technician, you will support the Building Automation Systems (BAS) preventive maintenance agreements and respond to service and warranty calls for BAS-related projects.

You will be reporting directly to the BAS Service Supervisor, this technician will utilize data from connected services to diagnose, maintain, and improve control systems and support the on-call rotation for automation services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Program, commission, and troubleshoot various BAS platforms including pneumatic, electric, and electronic control systems.

- Respond to service calls and perform preventive maintenance per dispatch and supervisor direction.

- Calibrate electronic systems using tools such as multi-meters.

- Support project teams by directing sub-contractors and performing limited project management on small jobs.

- Implement energy conservation measures (ECMs) within BAS systems.

- Complete commissioning documentation, time sheets, service orders, and expense reports accurately and on time.

- Maintain productive daily schedules and ensure customer satisfaction.

- Mentor and support junior technicians in service practices and professional development.

- Communicate effectively with project teams, controls contractors, and clients.

- Follow all company safety standards and maintain a professional appearance in company uniform.

- Work at heights using ladders or man-lifts (up to 40 ft) as needed for installations or repairs.

Required Qualifications:

- Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Air Conditioning Technology

OR

- 3–5 years of equivalent experience in HVAC mechanical or control systems.

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in control integration/programming related to service and maintenance.

- Niagara N4, AX, & Advanced N4/AX certification required (additional certifications a plus).

- Experience with Niagara, JCI, Distech, or other major BAS platforms.

- Strong PC skills.

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
