About the role

Working closely with the Executive Producer and the developer, youโ€™ll steer day-to-day releases, keep patches and content updates flowing, and support promotional launches along the way. This role suits someone who thinks in systems, spots problems before they become fires, and is always looking for a better way to run the process.

*This will be a 6 month project hire with the potential for extension and/or conversion to staff hire.

Responsibilities
  • Own submissions (patches, content drops, store page updates) across first-party platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Epic Games Store, Nintendo)
  • Advise teams on platform compliance requirements, emerging best practices, and new platform opportunities
  • Build and maintain release schedules in partnership with the Executive Producer and developer
  • Serve as the go-to point of contact between development teams and first-party partners
  • Sync with Localization, Marketing, and Development to keep releases on track and high quality
  • Act as the primary technical contact for platform partners
  • Coordinate feature approval processes with platform holders as needed
  • Manage age rating submissions with global rating boards
What you bring
  • Experience shipping on all platforms as a Release Manager (Steam, EGS, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo)
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with firstโ€‘party submission and certification processes
  • Expert knowledge of platform requirements: TRCs, XRs, lotcheck, and similar
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to hold your ground in tough conversations
  • A proactive mindset and comfort owning outcomes
  • Excellent organizational instincts paired with a solutionsโ€‘first attitude
  • Genuine passion for games and a solid grasp of the full development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Asana, Miro, and Excel
  • Awareness of relevant regulations such as CVAA, COPPA, and GDPR
  • Prior experience on liveโ€‘service titles

The annual salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $85,000 โ€“ $102,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidateโ€™s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors.
