Job description

Position Summary: 

Performs operation to sand exposed wood frame parts, fram subassemblies, and/or materials. Work and a variety of parts as assigned performing sanding operations for correct smoothness to ensure completion of work is to quanity and quality standards.

Major Accountablilities/Responsibilities:

1. Roll cart/buggy of parts to work station.

2. Sand wood parts to desired texture as required, breaking sharp edges as needed using pump sander, lever stroker.

3. Use pneumatic orbital sander(jitterbug) and apply light pressure to smooth out the wood parts and frame.

4. Use glue and wood putty to fill in cracks with a chisel and putty knife.

5. Neatly stack wood parts on buggy as completed keep count of how many parts are completed/needed based on ticket. If parts are missing, must notify lead or supervisor.

6. Keep work area clean and neat.

7. May perform other duties/special or non-routine assignments as instructed.
