Qย Analysts is looking for a Test Analystย for a project with one of its Clients who is a leader in the Virtual Reality space. ย Our Client's team applies a range of software, computer vision and robotics techniques to build systems and tools that enable accurate quality evaluation and regression testing of tracking systems and algorithms.ย  We are looking for someone with testingย skills on mobile or standalone devices preferably Android based. Role focuses on manual testingย of the functionality for our Client's current and future VR products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Test case maintenance
  • Add cases to an existing/established area
  • Edit existing cases for accuracy
  • Review of bug reports from other team members
  • Recreate bugs to validate
  • Targeted ad-hoc testing of undocumented areas
  • Test case execution
  • Software and hardware bug investigation and reporting
  • Bug fix verification

Skills:

  • Ability to review logs to derive root-cause of bugs
  • Ability to develop test cases and test plans
  • Competency with command line tools
  • Experience with commonly used bug-tracking software such as Jira, Bugzilla, Mantis, etc.
  • Strong deductive reasoning
  • Clear, accurate and succinct communication
  • Understanding of the software development process
  • Experience working in fast paced changing environments
  • Good documentation skills for bug reporting, status updates and written communication
  • Requires good exploratory skills and an inquisitive mind to test the limitations of theย software and hardware.ย 
  • Be comfortable with team collaboration.
  • Ability to learn new tools that are built in-house
  • Ability to work independently.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors or Associate's degreeย 
    AND
  • 3+ years of experience in a QA or related role.
