Job Duties
  • Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes.
  • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
  • Document software and application defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers.
  • Create and maintain databases of known defects.
  • Participate in software design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and schedules.
  • Design, prototype, and test support procedures and implement practical business solutions.
  • Perform system/quality assurance testing to identify key failure points for applications.
  • Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
  • Integrate testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform system/quality assurance testing to identify key failure points for applications.
  • Track and resolve issues to ensure the delivery of project.
  • Coordinate with the application support team to eliminate recurring incidents and to minimize the impact of incidents.
  • Evaluate software for testing or bug tracking.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Math, Business, Technology(any), or related, and 2 years of experience in Information Technology (IT)/engineering or IT-related consulting/business.
  • Alternatively, we will accept a Bachelor's or equivalent in any field other than the above-listed fields and 3 years of experience in the above occupations.
  • Additionally, all candidates must have 1 year of experience in any 4 tools/technologies across the following categories with at least 2 from one category: Programming Languages and Web Technologies; Development Frameworks and Tools; Databases; Data Management; Cloud Services & DevOps; Networking; Enterprise Software and Business Applications; Testing & QA Tools; Security & Compliance Tools; Integration Services; Project Management Methodologies & Tools; Embedded Systems & Hardware Programming; Hardware Interfaces & Components; Circuit, RF, and Thermal Design; Robotics & Automation; Virtual Validation & Prototyping; CAD & Mechanical Design; EDA / Signal Integrity / Simulation; Configuration & System Utilities; Business & Integration Platforms; UI/UX; Mobile Development. (All experience/skills may be acquired concurrently). 

Position is based out of our HQ in Chicago, IL & subject to relocation to unanticipated US worksites, with financial assistance. Telecommuting 2-3 days per week permitted, dependent on business needs. Domestic travel for meetings as needed (approximately 5%). 

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $104,728/year - $158,550/year 

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may vary but will not be less than the posted range minimum and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
