Position Summary
Undertakes a professional internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience to recent college graduates. Engages in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform at a professional level, typically identified with a targeted exempt position. This includes writing proposals, managing accounting tasks, and performing various duties as assigned at COSMIAC.
Receives training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments, with guidance from experienced professionals. The intern will gain experience in preparing and submitting research proposals, handling financial documentation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. They will also assist in the documentation and reporting of project progress and results. The intern will actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and solutions to project challenges. This is a fixed-term position, typically up to 24 months.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree obtained no earlier than 24 months prior to the date of hire; no previous work experience required.

  • Proposal Writing: Assist in preparing and submitting research proposals, ensuring they meet all required guidelines and deadlines.
  • Accounting Management: Manage accounting tasks, including handling financial documentation, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Project Assistance: Provide support in various projects, contributing to their development and execution.
  • Documentation: Assist in the documentation and reporting of project progress and results.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with senior staff and team members, actively participating in meetings and contributing ideas and solutions.
  • Administrative Support: Perform various administrative duties as assigned, supporting the overall operations of COSMIAC.
  • Training and Mentorship: Receive ongoing training and mentorship, gaining hands-on experience and professional development.
