Job description

The Budget Analyst will provide comprehensive project management and financial support services. This position supports planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting for Government projects, ensuring timely, costeffective, and highquality execution. The role requires strong analytical, administrative, and communication skills, as well as proficiency in budgeting and financial tracking within Government environments.

*** This position is contingent on contract award ***


  • Provide project management support including scheduling, resource coordination, risk tracking, progress monitoring, and stakeholder communication.
  • Conduct financial and budget analysis, prepare cost estimates, track expenditures, and support budget development activities.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and manage financial documentation such as 7600s, MIPRs, ROMs, and consolidated financial reports.
  • Produce forecasts, spend plans, burnrate tracking, and nearrealtime financial status updates.
  • Analyze CDRLs and develop programmatic and technical briefings with Government technical leads.
  • Access and maintain required Government budget and financial systems.
  • Support technology transfer programs including CRADAs, EPAs, and Bailment Agreements.
  • Coordinate technical and financial actions with Government organizations, contractors, OEMs, vendors, and OTA partners.
  • Provide data, background materials, and documentation to support program decisions and reporting.

 

  • Knowledge of budgeting laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques.
  • Experience supporting or executing Government budgeting, financial analysis, or project management activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple Government and contractor stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Army/DoD financial systems.
  • Familiarity with technology transfer mechanisms (CRADA, EPA, Bailment).
  • Prior support to Aberdeenarea programs or PEO/DEVCOM environments.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • AS/AA degree or 2year technical school with minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • OR High School diploma/GED with 10 years of experience
  • OR Military experience E4 or above with applicable background
