| Plans, conducts, and supervises subtasks on a project-by-project basis, working to meet completion dates. May provide direct assistance, review progress, and evaluate results; and, make changes in methods or project design where necessary. These individuals make independent technical decisions, seeking advice from senior staff as needed. Possesses knowledge, skills, and abilities to independently conduct primary assigned tasks such as to analyze environmental samples using microbiology and biology methods, perform data review, or conducting environmental risk assessments or other field activities as well as a sufficiently broad knowledge and versatility to support SOP/method development and additional assigned tasks as needed.
