Job description

Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for several Welder-Fitter openings with a company in Erie, PA. These opening are on 2nd shift with a pay rate of $24/hour.

Welder-Fitter
Shifts: 2nd shift 2:30pm-10:30pm. Monday through Saturday--expect Overtime
Pay Range: $20-24/hour. Pay rate includes a $2 shift differential. If training occurs on 1st shift--pay range is $18-22/hour.
***Candidate must pass a drug screen and be open to a criminal background check***
Responsibilities
  • Fit plate, structural material, and pipe using shop drawings, specifications, and travelers
  • Use torches to cut and cope beams, cut and bevel plates, and heat straighten parts
  • Fit and weld various materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, inconel, and aluminum
  • Perform welding using the following processes:
  • Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
  • Metal-Cored Arc Welding (MCAW)
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG)
  • Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick)
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG)
  • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW)
  • Perform welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
  • Produce consistent welds per shop drawings and customer specifications
  • Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and verify weld sizes using company-issued weld gauges
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed to move parts throughout the shop
Requirements
    • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
    • Ability to pass various types of weld tests
    • Understanding of standard welding symbols
    • Basic math skills
    • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
    • Crane experience preferred
    • Forklift experience preferred
    • Trade certification or equivalent experience preferred
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States
