What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be responsible for complete machine setups and production across both conventional CNC turning and Swiss machining platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Set up and operate Okuma CNC lathes for chuck and bar work
  • Set up and run Tsugami Swiss-type sliding headstock lathes
  • Edit programs at the machine using Okuma, Fanuc, and Yasnac controls
  • Adjust tooling, offsets, feeds, and speeds to optimize production
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and routing documentation
  • Perform first article and in-process inspections
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment
  • Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine condition
  • Document work according to ISO 9001 quality procedures
  • Work closely with fellow machinists to maintain quality and production goals

What We're Looking ForRequired

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Proven setup experience on both Okuma CNC lathes and Tsugami Swiss machines
  • Strong understanding of Swiss machining, including guide bushings, tooling, and bar feeders
  • Ability to edit programs at the machine
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T proficiency
  • Experience performing precision inspections
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

  • Trade school or apprenticeship training
  • Experience machining titanium, nickel alloys, or engineering plastics
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
